Aamir Khan surprised everyone just before his 60th birthday by introducing his partner, Gauri, during an informal meet-and-greet with journalists in Mumbai on Thursday. The actor, known for keeping his personal life private, made the revelation after casually chatting about his career and life.

Aamir shared that he and Gauri first met 25 years ago but lost touch over the years. However, fate brought them back together a couple of years ago, and they have now been in a relationship for 18 months. Amused by how he managed to keep it under wraps, he joked,
“See, tum logon ko pata nahi lagne diya na maine?” (I didn’t let you guys find out, did I?)

Gauri Background & Aamir Family Reaction

Gauri hails from Bengaluru and was previously married. She also has a six-year-old son from her previous marriage. Aamir revealed that his family and children have already met Gauri and are extremely happy for them.

To ensure Gauri safety as she steps into the limelight, Aamir has hired private security for her, admitting that it’s for his “own peace of mind.”

Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children—Junaid and Ira. After their divorce, he tied the knot with Kiran Rao, and they had a son, Azaad. Although Aamir and Kiran separated a few years ago, they have remained close friends and even worked together on Laapataa Ladies, which Aamir produced.

A Birthday to Remember!

Aamir, who turns 60 on Friday, kicked off his birthday celebrations with this big revelation. He also spoke about the possibility of collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan again, saying they are open to working together when the right script comes along.

And in a perfect reference to his iconic film Lagaan (2001), Aamir signed off with a smile, saying,
“Bhuvan ko uski Gauri mil hi gayi!” (Bhuvan has finally found his Gauri!)
