Acer Super ZX Launched in India

The newly launched Acer Super ZX series smartphones by Indkal Technologies mark Acer’s entry into the competitive Indian mobile market. Priced aggressively and equipped with some impressive hardware, the Acer Super ZX aims to deliver excellent value for budget-conscious users, especially those looking for a 5G-ready device.

We got our hands on the Acer Super ZX (8GB + 128GB) model in Lunar Blue, and here’s our unboxing experience and first impressions.

Box Contents:

  • Acer Super ZX smartphone (8GB + 128GB, Lunar Blue)
  • 33W fast charger (2-pin)
  • Braided USB Type-A to Type-C cable
  • SIM ejector tool
  • Transparent protective case
  • User guide and warranty card

Display & Design:

The Super ZX sports a 6.8-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, delivering a smooth visual experience. The centered punch-hole houses a 13MP front camera, while the screen resolution is a crisp 2406 × 1080 pixels. The bezels are minimal, though there’s a slight chin at the bottom.

Design-wise, the phone has a matte finish back, measuring just 8.6mm thick, offering a sleek, modern aesthetic. It’s comfortable to hold and doesn’t attract fingerprints easily.

Performance:

Under the hood, the Super ZX is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with support for 5G SA/NSA connectivity. It features:

  • Up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM + 8GB virtual RAM
  • 128GB internal storage
  • Android 15 out-of-the-box with no bloatware

Performance in our brief usage felt snappy, with clean software and fluid multitasking, thanks to the combination of a capable SoC and high refresh rate display.

Cameras:

The rear camera setup includes:

  • 64MP Sony main sensor (f/1.8)
  • 2MP depth sensor
  • 2MP macro sensor

It supports up to 2K video recording at 30fps on both the front and rear cameras. However, there’s no OIS, which might be noticeable in low-light video or handheld shots. The front houses a 13MP selfie shooter in the punch-hole.

Battery & Charging:

The phone is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Acer claims that it can charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes, making it convenient for daily use.

  • Power button + Fingerprint sensor on the right
  • Volume rockers on the right
  • Hybrid Dual SIM slot on the left
