Bigg Boss 19 Set to Launch in August 2025

The much-awaited Bigg Boss 19 is all set to premiere in August 2025 with several exciting twists that promise to shake up the show’s format. While Salman Khan will return as the face of the show, this season comes with a digital-first strategy, an extended five-month runtime, and multiple celebrity hosts.

Bigg Boss 19 to Launch First on JioCinema

For the first time in the history of the show, Bigg Boss will premiere on JioCinema before airing on television. The show is expected to launch on the weekend of August 29–30, 2025. This means new episodes will drop on JioCinema first, and then air on Colors TV approximately 90 minutes later. The move is part of the show’s strategy to build a stronger digital audience.

Salman Khan to Host for First Three Months

While Salman Khan will kick off Bigg Boss 19 as the host, his stint will only last for the first three months. Following his departure, the show will bring in Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor as rotating celebrity hosts. It is not yet confirmed whether these stars will host individually or alternate every few weeks. However, Salman Khan is expected to return to host the grand finale.

Longer Season and New Format

This season of Bigg Boss will have a five-month runtime, making it one of the longest seasons ever. The makers are focusing on a hybrid model, combining OTT and TV audiences, with a digital-first rollout designed to appeal to younger viewers.
