Lahore Gaddafi Stadium witnessed a bizarre moment ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 Group B clash between Australia and England. Just before Australia’s national anthem was supposed to play, a line from India’s national anthem, Jana Gana Mana, unexpectedly echoed through the stadium speakers.

The mix-up happened right after England’s anthem concluded, leaving everyone surprised. While the mistake was quickly corrected, it didn’t take long for the incident to go viral, with fans trolling the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the blunder. The timing of the mishap is especially interesting, considering India is not even playing in Pakistan for the tournament, as their matches are scheduled at a neutral venue.

India vs Pakistan: The Big Clash Approaches

While this anthem error made headlines, the real excitement is building up for the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash. Pakistan, the defending champions, are in a tricky situation after a disappointing 60-run loss to New Zealand in their opening match. Another defeat against India would put their chances of advancing in serious jeopardy.

Former Pakistan cricketer Azam Khan shared his thoughts on the upcoming match, saying that the team that makes fewer mistakes will emerge victorious.

“I wish the best of luck to the Pakistan Cricket Team. It’s just a game. It will be a high-voltage encounter, and the team that plays better will win,” Azam Khan said in an interview with ANI.

Talking about the India-Pakistan rivalry, he added, “The rivalry is mostly off the field. In recent years, matches between both teams have been played in a more friendly manner.”

Pakistan Struggles & India Strong Start

Pakistan journey in the Champions Trophy 2025 hasn’t started well. Their opening defeat to New Zealand has left them under pressure, while India started on a strong note with a comfortable six-wicket win against Bangladesh.

Interestingly, in Champions Trophy history, Pakistan holds a slight edge over India, leading the head-to-head 3-2. Their biggest moment came in the 2017 final when they defeated India by 180 runs. However, with India’s current form, they will look to turn the tables in this tournament.

As both teams gear up for one of cricket’s most exciting rivalries, all eyes will be on how Pakistan responds to the pressure and whether India can continue their winning momentum. One thing is certain—this match will be nothing short of a thriller!
