Court – State Vs A Nobody

Natural Star Nani is presenting the much-anticipated courtroom drama “Court – State Vs A Nobody” under his banner, Wall Poster Cinema. Starring Priyadarshi in the lead role and directed by Ram Jagadeesh, the film is set to hit theaters on March 14, 2025.

In an exclusive conversation, director Ram Jagadeesh sheds light on the film’s inspiration, unique elements, and the journey behind bringing this gripping story to life.

The Inspiration Behind the Story

The film is deeply rooted in reality, drawing inspiration from the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. Director Ram Jagadeesh revealed,

“I came across a real-life case that deeply disturbed me. As I researched further, I found that hundreds of such cases exist in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. I studied multiple case files, consulted legal experts, and combined different elements to craft a fictional story that reflects real-life incidents. My goal was to ensure authenticity while raising awareness.”

Narrating the Story to Nani

Jagadeesh spent eight months waiting for an opportunity to pitch the story to Nani garu. When the moment finally arrived, Nani listened intently to the two-and-a-half-hour narration in a single sitting.

“At the end, he stood up, shook my hand, and said, ‘Welcome to Wall Poster Cinema.’ That moment was unforgettable.”

What Makes This Courtroom Drama Unique?

Unlike traditional courtroom dramas, Court – State Vs A Nobody weaves a love story into the legal proceedings, creating a distinct narrative that blends emotions with the law.

“This unique combination sets the film apart from others in the genre,” the director explained.

The Role of the POCSO Act in the Film

The POCSO Act plays a pivotal role in the storyline, shedding light on an issue many people are unaware of.

“Through this film, I wanted to create awareness and highlight the significance of the law in protecting children,” he emphasized.

Character Insights: Roshan and Sridevi

Roshan, who plays Chandu, was a quick selection due to his impressive dedication. However, casting Jabilli was a challenge.

“We were looking for a fresh Telugu-speaking actress with strong acting skills. After a long search, we discovered her through an Instagram profile, and she turned out to be the perfect fit.”

Priyadarshi Instant Connection with the Story

Priyadarshi was the first actor approached for the role, and his reaction was immediate.

“The moment he heard the story, he said, ‘I will do this movie. Don’t tell anyone else.’ Our bond is strong, and working with him made this project even more special. After watching the film, he told me, ‘Proud of you, Jagadeesh.’ His confidence in the story speaks volumes.”

Shivaji Impactful Role

Veteran actor Shivaji garu plays Mangapathi, a character that mirrors how society reacts to sensitive issues.

“His portrayal will resonate deeply with audiences,” Jagadeesh added.

Technical Excellence in the Film

From the very beginning, the team aimed for top-tier technical quality. Vijay, the music composer, has delivered an exceptional soundtrack.

“After proving his talent with ‘Baby,’ Vijay has once again created magic with his music,” the director praised.

Support from the Production Team

Working under Wall Poster Cinema was a seamless experience, thanks to the meticulous planning of Deepti garu.

“She managed everything efficiently, ensuring that we completed the film smoothly and on time,” he noted.

Court – State Vs A Nobody promises to be a powerful courtroom drama that not only entertains but also raises awareness about a critical social issue.
