Google may be about to rewrite its Pixel launch playbook once again. After pushing the Pixel 9 series launch to August last year to get ahead of Apple’s iPhone 16 reveal, Google now appears to be aiming even earlier with the Pixel 10. Reports suggest the upcoming Pixel 10 flagship could launch as soon as late June or early July 2025. Fueling this speculation is a new exclusive event called the “Pixel Penthouse,” for which Google has already sent out invites to select members of its Pixel Superfans Club. The event is set to take place in London on June 27 and promises hands-on access to unreleased Pixel devices, direct interaction with Google employees, and exclusive Pixel-themed goodies. However, only 25 fans will be selected to attend, and they must first prove their Pixel knowledge through a quiz.

This marks a strategic shift for Google, which traditionally launched its Pixel devices in October. The earlier timing aims to beat Apple’s iPhone 17 release, expected in September, and gives Google the spotlight for its upcoming Android flagship. Though the Pixel 10 hasn’t been officially announced yet, several leaks suggest it will be powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G5 chip, with the base model expected to feature 12GB of RAM. The Pixel 10 Pro may push that further to 16GB. Benchmark leaks also indicate the device is being tested with Android 15, but it’s widely expected to debut with Android 16 out-of-the-box.

In terms of photography, Google might finally standardize a triple-lens camera setup across the entire Pixel 10 lineup—not just the Pro variant. Concept renders show a 64MP main sensor, a 64MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 50x digital zoom. While these specs aren’t officially confirmed, they suggest Google could be serious about offering flagship-grade photography to more users.

On the design front, the Pixel 10 series is likely to retain the horizontal camera bar introduced in previous models. This indicates Google is focusing more on internal upgrades, including performance, AI, and software, rather than a major design overhaul. With the “Pixel Penthouse” event scheduled just three months ahead of Apple’s iPhone 17 reveal, it’s clear Google is trying to grab early attention. If the Pixel 10 series is indeed unveiled at the event, it could be one of the first major Android flagship announcements of the year.
