National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her Hollywood debut with the upcoming horror drama “Blessed Be The Evil,” as confirmed by a report from Variety. The film will also feature Tyler Posey of Teen Wolf fame and Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of Sylvester Stallone.
A Dark Horror Tale Set in Rural America
Directed by Anurag Rudra, Blessed Be The Evil tells the chilling story of a Christian couple who, after experiencing a tragic miscarriage, move to an abandoned farmhouse in an attempt to rebuild their lives. However, the new home harbors a sinister past, and the couple soon finds their faith and relationship tested by a malevolent force.
Rudra, who previously directed Tailing Pond, co-wrote the script with Gatha Tiwary, president and founder of Lions Movies. The movie is scheduled to begin production this summer in New York.
Why It’s Being Shot in the U.S.
The producers opted to shoot the film in the United States to avoid uncertainties from Trump’s recently announced industry tariffs, according to the production team. This move ensures smoother operations and better access to international markets.
Kangana Global Leap
With four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards, Kangana Ranaut is one of India’s most critically acclaimed and outspoken actresses. She is also a filmmaker and currently serves as a Member of Parliament in India’s Lok Sabha.
Her recent film, Emergency, where she portrayed Indira Gandhi, had a global theatrical release earlier this year.
