The Story: A Forgotten Hero Comes Alive
Directed by debutant Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 moves beyond the Battle of Saragarhi to explore another powerful chapter in India’s freedom struggle. The film sheds light on C. Shankaran Nair, a renowned lawyer and freedom fighter who challenged British rule in the wake of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
The film is based on the acclaimed book “The Case That Shook the Empire”, authored by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, Nair’s great-grandson and granddaughter-in-law.
