Apple is gearing up for a packed first half of 2026 with a series of major product launches across its lineup. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Cupertino giant is preparing to introduce new iPhones, updated MacBooks, refreshed iPads, and even a long-awaited smart home hub. Here’s everything you need to know about Apple’s 2026 product roadmap.
iPhone 17e: A Budget iPhone With Premium Power
One of the most anticipated launches is the iPhone 17e, expected to debut as early as February 2026. This device will build on the iPhone 16e, keeping the familiar design but packing in Apple’s new A19 chip, bringing it on par with the standard iPhone 17 series. The 17e will target users seeking premium performance in a more affordable package.
MacBook Lineup: M5 Chips & Final Intel-Era Design
Apple is set to refresh its MacBook Pro range with 14-inch and 16-inch models powered by the M5 chip. Internally codenamed J714 and J716, these MacBooks were originally planned for 2025 but have been pushed to 2026. They are likely to be the last generation using the current chassis design before Apple transitions to OLED screens and redesigned bodies in future iterations.
MacBook Air With M5 Chips
Apple also plans to launch new MacBook Air models, codenamed J813 and J815, in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, both powered by M5 chips. These models are expected to arrive in early 2026, continuing Apple’s focus on ultra-portable, high-efficiency laptops.
iPads: M4-Powered iPad Air & Faster Base Model
In the tablet category, Apple is preparing a new iPad Air with the M4 chip, alongside a revamped entry-level iPad that retains its current design but gains a faster processor. Both models are tipped to launch around March or April 2026. The upgrades are mostly internal, with performance improvements taking center stage.
New External Display
A new Apple external display is also on the horizon, set to succeed the Apple Studio Display and Pro Display XDR. While details remain limited, this monitor could launch in early 2026, potentially offering improved resolution and performance for professionals.
Smart Home Hub Finally Arriving
Perhaps one of the most interesting additions is Apple’s smart home hub, which has faced repeated delays. Initially scheduled for a 2025 release, the hub was pushed back due to Siri development issues. Now, it’s expected to join the 2026 lineup, marking Apple’s deeper push into smart home integration.
