Motorola Moto G96 5G Launched in India with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, 50MP Camera, and 144Hz Display

Motorola has officially launched the Moto G96 5G in India on July 9, 2025, targeting mid-range smartphone buyers. The device promises one year of OS upgrades and three years of security updates, enhancing its long-term usability. The Moto G96 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ pOLED 3D curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and comes with Smart Water Touch technology for better usability in wet conditions. Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Users can also benefit from up to 24GB of virtual RAM for improved multitasking.

The Moto G96 5G is backed by a robust 5,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, and comes equipped with dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Moto Spatial Sound. On the camera front, it features a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens that doubles as a macro and depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone houses a 32MP front camera with support for 4K video recording. Motorola has also integrated Google Photos’ AI tools like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Magic Editor into the device.

The Moto G96 5G is IP68-rated for water resistance and is available in four colour options — Ashleigh Blue, Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, and Dresden Blue. It is offered in two variants: the 8GB/128GB model priced at ₹17,999 and the 8GB/256GB model at ₹19,999. Sales will begin on July 16 through Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and major retail outlets including Reliance Digital.
